Question 1

Where does Tara Fresh Basket honey come from?

Accepted Answer

Our honey is naturally sourced from forest regions of Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh, India. We source it through local forest collectors and small beekeepers connected to these natural forest regions.

Question 2

What does Wild Forest Honey mean?

Accepted Answer

Wild forest honey is honey from bees that forage freely on naturally occurring forest flowers and trees, with honey developing in natural forest honeycombs — rather than from bees kept in managed, man-made hives on a farm.

Question 3

Is the honey raw?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We present our honey as raw honey, preserving its natural character.

Question 4

Is the honey unprocessed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We present our honey as raw and unprocessed. Because of this, natural variations between batches can occur.

Question 5

Where in India is the honey sourced?

Accepted Answer

From the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, in southern India.

Question 6

What is the source region?

Accepted Answer

Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh — a landscape of rocky hills and dry forests with native wildflowers and forest trees.

Question 7

Why can honey colour vary?

Accepted Answer

Honey colour depends on the flowers and trees bees visit, the season and the region. It can also change over time and with crystallisation. Variation in colour is natural for raw honey.

Question 8

Why does honey crystallise?

Accepted Answer

Honey is rich in natural sugars. Over time, glucose can form crystals — especially at cooler temperatures. Crystallisation is a natural physical change. On its own, it does not prove or disprove authenticity.

Question 9

How should I store honey?

Accepted Answer

Keep the jar tightly closed at room temperature, in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. Always use a clean, dry spoon.

Question 10

Does honey need refrigeration?

Accepted Answer

No. Refrigeration is not required, and cooler temperatures may cause honey to crystallise faster. If honey crystallises, place the closed glass jar in warm (not boiling) water and stir gently.

Question 11

What container is used?

Accepted Answer

Our honey is packed in a glass container with a metal cap.

Question 12

Is the honey laboratory tested?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our honey has been tested at Macana Analytical Laboratory Private Limited, a NABL accredited laboratory.

Question 13

Where can I see the laboratory report?

Accepted Answer

Use the “View / Download Lab Report” button in the Lab Tested section of this website. You can also request a copy from us on WhatsApp.

Question 14

What does the laboratory report test?

Accepted Answer

The report includes a nutrition analysis per 100 g (energy, carbohydrates, sugars, protein, fat, fibre, sodium, potassium and moisture) and quality parameters including HMF, Diastase and C4 Sugar (SCIRA).
